A MILLION THANKS FOR VALENTINESDAY SUPPORT

When Valentine's day was looming ahead we decided to offer our freshly baked cookies and handcrafted chocolates to spoil some well deserving loved ones......  after all who does not like being spoilt with something nice to eat. At the same time we made these yummies  up in beautiful gift packs.

Because we do not have a shop with a physical address where people could go to look and choose their gifts we were somewhat concerned that we would not get the support. People generally want to see what they buy before committing. In spite of the doubts we decided to go ahead making a lot of goodies and making up gift packs in a wide price range. We advertised that people were free to place orders hoping to at least be certain of SOME sales.

When a customer requested a photograph of the gift pack they would be getting we sent this with pleasure. We normally gave them at least 2 choices.
To our surprise the response was overwhelming. It surpassed our wildest dreams. Most of our orders came through Face Book, but we also got orders at the Mall where we had a display on a table.

 



With all the load shedding it was not always easy to operate smoothly as we could not bake, make chocolates or make up the orders without electricity. Some nights meant burning the midnight oil, but we were determined to deliver what we promised. On occasions we had to beg for more time before we could send the photographs of the gift ordered due to this stumbling block, but everyone was very understanding.

We want to thank everyone for the amazing support we received from the public of Piet Retief during our Valentines campaign. Also for the many whatsapp messages we received from happy customers afterwards  thanking us for the yummy and attractive goodies. In spite of the difficulties surrounding the making of the goods because of the load shedding - especially the chocolates as we did not want to make them too far in advance because of the heat. Everyone was very understanding when we could not always send photos of their gifts at the promised times but everyone eventually received them and all the gifts were delivered on time. We also had a lot of support at the mall where we had a table with goodies displayed. Yesterday morning  (14 Feb 2019) an elderly gentleman bought some goodies and late afternoon he came back to thank for the nice cookies and chocolates. All this is very heart warming and it shows that there are still "NICE" people in this world.

Soon we will have our full range of freshly baked cookies again. Meanwhile you are welcome to place your orders and we will make sure that you will be first to receive it.

We have been receiving a lot of requests for a wider selection of confectionery so we have extended our range on offer. All our ever popular freshly baked cookies are all still available including new zoo cookies. These zoo cookies are a great hit with the kids and are ideal for their lunch boxes.
