Covid-19 has hit us all hard House arrest is what it boils down to. The first 5 weeks were extra difficult as everyone had to stay home except for buying groceries and for medical help. After the 5 weeks a few restrictions were lifted but still staying at home was recommended. Those who ventured it out of the house needed to wear a face mask. This is all for the greater good of the citizens of South Africa..... The whole world was affected by this pandemic and all countries had their specifications for keeping people safe from the virus. In all that people get very bored frustrated and need lots of activities that they can do at home, Children are especially hit hard becaues they are used to having friends at school and visiting each other after school. Most of the smaller kids may not even understand what this is all about. We have come up with a solution for some of the time to stay occupied. Anyone can do this - kids from 3 - 100 years old. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

BÚSY TIMES PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE Since December we have hardly had time to catch our breath and now Easter is lurking ahead of us already. November/December are always very popular for weddings so we had quite a few wedding cakes as well as wedding anniversary cake orders. Then came Christmas with its orders for all sorts of cookies, cupcakes and cakes. Traditionally Christmas is a time for fruit cake and this year was no exception. Fortunately they should be made in advance so we had the bulk of our orders baked and ready for delivery by the time we had to get on with the cookie orders. Cookies form a very nice gift and we had plenty orders for those too. Of course they are also nice to have ready for your family. Don't forget Santa's cookies and milk. February is of course the month for love, Many people surprised their loved ones with cookies, cakes, cup cakes and chocolates. FRUIT CAKES FOR CHRISTMAS Christmas time is traditionally time for fruit cake, but it crtainly is not the ONLY time to have the joy of eating a lovely fruit cake.  To enjoy the best fruit cake you need to have it baked at least 2 months before the time. We have some cakes ready to go now and quite a lot of orders for December. Order your cake as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Here are your options: Small, Medium and Large. We offer ........ With Alcohol, without alcohol, Eggless, Nutless, Without icing, With icing on the top only or decorated with mazipan and icing covering the whole cake. Our normal cakes contain nuts, alcohol and eggs, so if you have a special request we suggest that you place your order way ahead of time as they have to be baked separate from other cakes. MOST OF US ARE KIDS AT HEART. When it comes to parties - especially kids'birthday parties it is always nice to have a theme. Depending on the child's age, gender and of course their peferences it is quite easy to follow a theme. Kids often get their ideas from TV although older ones also search the internet to find something that they find interesting. There are also quite a few options of what method should be used to create a cake pf their liking. Tray cakes are very popular - ecpecially with younger ones as they often find a double layer slice a bit too much to eat. Single layer tray cakes with a printed design are very popular.
